Jessica Kuerten Castel Forbes Maike tests positive
Jessica Kuerten is Ireland’s highest ever ranked showjumper reaching number two in the FEI/Gandini Jumping Riders’ World Ranking List in 2006 but for the second time in three years finds herself facing possible sanction from the FEI.
Jessica has reluctantly ceded that her horse, Castel Forbes Maike, has tested positive for a prohibited substance after a test taken in La Baule in France last May, where Ms Kuerten won the €1,000 Grand Prix.
Ms Kuerten said she was bewildered by the positive dope test as she had not given the horse anything.
The B sample results were not yet analysed.
