John Whitaker on Peppermill wins gold at European Showjumping Championships
Great Britain won the bronze medal at the European Showjumping Championships in Mannheim Germany to guarantee a place at the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games equestrian venue of Hong Kong.
John Whitaker on Peppermill had a no faults round that guaranteed Britain a bronze while Germany was silver and Holland gold.
Earlier David McPherson on Pilgrim II gained four faults and Whitaker’s niece Ellen earned one time fault on Locarno.
