William Fox-Pitt British three-day eventing rider
William Fox-Pitt is a British three-day eventing rider who was born January 2, 1969 into an equestrian family and at age four began an association with various horses that has risen to his elite status of 2nd in the World in 2006.
Eventing as a Young Rider first in 1985 to 1990 and continuing William Fox-Pitt achieved his first success at Burghley Horse Trials in 1994, then 2002 and 2005; Gatcombe Park in 1995, 2000, 2003 and 2005; and Badminton Horse Trials in 2004.
Fox-Pitt has also won team golds in European Championships five times and a team silver in the Athens 2004 Summer Olympic Games.
William Fox-Pitt is married to Alice Plunkett and they have two children, Oliver and Thomas, and as members of an equestrian family the boys will no doubt be seen with their parents at Horse Trials their father has won or will be covering for Horse & Hound.
