Thornbury Horse Park announced at Collingwood Horse Show
Resort mecca, Collingwood, Ontario is currently known for its sky resorts and beautiful golf courses but in the future the developers of a new $100 million equestrian village envisage it as also being a hub for equestrian activities.
Set adjacent to Blue Mountain ski resort and only two hours from Toronto the horse park will cover 250 acres with riding trails, stables and event courses for the horses and three hundred condo units for the equestrian enthusiasts - priced at $300,000 to $700,000 - also located within the park grounds.
Peter Lush, the park’s developer sees the development as a focus for the equine industry in Ontario, a $550 million a year business, a training centre for more than 150,000 competitive horses in the province and place where the recreational rider will be able to exercise while enjoying the scenic splendour of the area.
Equestrian enthusiasts will be delighted to know that construction on the park is scheduled for completion by the middle of 2008.
